Digital Product Passports for products that outlive the paperwork.
The first mandatory Digital Product Passports are for certain batteries, with a legal deadline of 18 February 2027. Repass connects the technical data behind the passport in one structured product record, making documentation easier to manage and access throughout a product's service life.
- Products with a working life measured in years, not seasons
- Batteries, electronics, components and light means of transport
- Spare parts, service and repair as part of what you sell
- Professional and technical supply rather than consumer retail
How adoption works
Four stages, with a clear role for your team at each step. We work with your existing systems and data. No custom build. No developers on standby.
See what product data you already have, what's missing, and which suppliers hold it.
Share a data export and set aside an hour with us.
Build real Digital Product Passports for one or more product ranges, end to end, with help from our team.
Choose the product range and help us access the relevant data.
Connect the systems that feed your product records, reducing manual data entry and duplication.
Introduce us to the people responsible for your relevant systems.
Roll out across the rest of your catalog, building on what you've learned from the first range.
Expand range by range. Each rollout gets easier.
Research collaboration on secure, interoperable industrial data infrastructure, exploring how product data can flow across value chains while companies retain control over their information.
Research into circularity and product data in technical supply chains.
Exploring how product data moves through value chains built around long-lived products.
The tools behind your passports
A record that lasts
Keep product information accessible throughout its service life, not just at the point of sale.
Spare parts and repair
Keep part numbers, manuals and service history connected to the product.
Composite products
Connect finished products to their component records, with flexible, multi-level structures for products built from other products—not just a flat material list.
API access
Use APIs to connect Repass with your existing systems, automate workflows and exchange product data.
Questions we get from distributors
What does the Battery Passport actually require in February 2027?
A product we sell now is still in service in ten years. How long does the record stay available?
Our spare parts and service documentation is in PDFs nobody can find.
Do our LCA and EPD results carry over?
Can our existing ERP not just do this?
Where the regulation sits
The EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) introduces Digital Product Passports one product group at a time. The EU DPP Registry became operational on 20 July 2026, but the requirements that apply to each product category are still being developed.
